NSSLHA Office:

  • Ana and Courtney met with John Westbury the last week of classes.
  • Dr. Westbury’s reply to the request for space:
    • “My door is open”
    • wants to establish rapport with NSSHLA
    • Knows we want a presence in the building
    • We are not fiscally enriching for the department
    • He is looking at options for space on the 3 rd or 4 th floor
    • In the past, there has been a variable presence in the building
    • Response to suggestion of more keys was that it didn’t seem to be the only reason we weren’t using the room, but that it was a possibility; suggestion of a lock box was made
  • Courtney needs help writing a proposal for John Westbury, it’s already started—Megan and Holly will help write proposal
    • We will write a primary proposal for keeping the space, and a secondary proposal in case the first one gets denied
      • 2ndary proposal possibilities:
        • cabinet
        • block off space in the lounge
        • other
  • Our space through ASM is still on hold
