Michelle Quinn earned a B.A degree in Psychology and English from the University of Notre Dame where she appreciated faculty commitment to creating and sustaining a learning community. Michelle earned her M.A degree in speech pathology from the University of Iowa.

After clinical work in hospital, school, consultant and private practice settings, she came to UW-Madison in 1991 to be a clinical instructor in the area of aural (re)habilitation. Her current clinical interests include communication modality options, technology options and consulting on behalf of children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Also, a language stimulation preschool has invigorated her love for this age learner. She has served for five years as a NSHLA advisor, and is delighted to witness the active service commitment and leadership that has developed over the years.

Outside of professional interests, Michelle enjoys Irish music venues, car trips, creative writing, and conversation with friends and family.
